Minutes of the November 2, 2001 meeting at the IHSAA office
PRESENT

MINUTES
The minutes of the October 11, 2001 meeting were presented for approval. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Phillip Gardner; seconded by Cassel White; motion passed 19-0.
TRANSFERS
Associate Commissioner Craft reported on the transfers that have been ruled on for the 2001-02 school year. This report included the following actions as of November 2, 2001:

Limited Eligibility: 121
Ineligible: 15
Total: 1710
SPORTSMANSHIP
Assistant Commissioner Wynns updated the Executive Committee on the unsportsmanlike conduct reports that have been submitted. As of November 2, 2001, there have been 393 reports filed. The breakdown on unsportsmanlike conduct reports by sport is: Boys Soccer – 208; Football – 144; Girls Soccer – 34; and Volleyball - 7.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Commissioner Ress presented the monthly financial report of the Association.
LITIGATION
Attorney Robert Baker updated the Executive Committee on the current status of pending litigation against the Association.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
The Executive Committee discussed feedback obtained from the District Principals Meetings with regard to the summer participation rule. The most common issue expressed was a possible extension of the moratorium period to two weeks. As a result, the IHSAA will survey member schools concerning this item.
COMMUNICATIONS
A motion to adjourn the November meeting of the IHSAA Executive Committee was made by Michael Powell; seconded by Phil Hoskins; motion passed 19-0. The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be at IHSAA headquarters at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2001.
